PRESIDENTS REMARKS
In this 160th Anniversary of the NIAGARA REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY-HOME OF THE WELLAND FAIR, I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all the volunteers who devote and commit themselves to making the fair happen. The Agricultural Society is a Not for profit organization that is run by volunteers who work diligently all year behind the scenes to plan this event. The Executive, the board members, the committee heads and the many helping hands that are there for us at fair time, all move ahead with the same focus in mind. We are a community based minded and our objective is to encourage agriculture awareness by providing education and improvements to the quality of life for all children and adults. We are always receptive of people interested in participating.
The commitment to making the Fall Fair an anticipated event every year is our goal. We would not succeed without you, whether you come to enjoy the horses, exhibit in the many categories available, have some of the excellent food that is available, enjoy the entertainment, or just get in touch with community; we endeavor to give you some of it all.
Membership in the Niagara Regional Agricultural Society is $5.00 a year and can be purchased at the fair office. Anyone entering exhibits or competing in the competitions at the Niagara Regional Exhibition- Welland Fair must be a member. Call the Fair Office at (905)735-6413 for memberships.
The Niagara Regional Exhibition-Welland Fair provides a place where exhibitors can show off their quality of livestock, fruits and vegetables, grain and forage, Horticulture, also a Junior and Senior Division where locals can show off their handiwork. Family, friends, and neighbors’ can also enjoy the many other activities that are available to fair goers.
For the first time attendee or exhibitor…… welcome. I hope you leave knowing you will return again and again.
